GCI Library Gets High-Speed Internet. Today the Great Cranberry Library stepped into the 21st century with the successful installation of a high-speed T1 internet connection. Transferring data at 1.544 megabits per second, the new connection is about 27 times faster than the previous frame relay service, and about 50 times faster than a typical island dial-up connection. This great speed increase, coupled with the library's existing wireless capability, will make the library a magnet to anyone needing to download large and bulky files.
