The original cemetery, dominated by the metal Fernald obelisk, is roughly rectangular in shape, about 25 feet north-south and 21 feet east-west. It is surrounded by a heavy chain fence held up by ten stone posts as shown in the grave site layout above. Within the chained-in area there is a smaller, slightly-raised area 8.5' north-south by 10' east-west which is formed by a stone border filled with earth. There are two stones and two footstones in this raised area. Other than those, there are two stones, two footstones, and one obelisk in the chained-in area.
The cemetery has been expanded by later burials outside the chained-in area. There are nine stones, two footstones, and two minor stones to the south of the chained-in area, and three stones to the north of it.
All stone inscriptions face west.

+ end of inscriptions +
Please be aware that a person may be mentioned on more than one inscription. They may have their own stone, as well as being mentioned on another stone as "son of ..." or "father of ..." for example. However, the table has only one link to an inscription. It may not be the only reference. So study the inscriptions carefully for multiple references.
Stones with "dau. of ..." are especially useful as they reveal a woman's maiden name. Where possible, I've listed women under both their maiden and married names.
Family members were often buried close to each other. Note but don't click on the grave coordinate immediately to the left of the given name. Then click on "Sutton" to go to the grave site diagram, and click on nearby stones to see their inscriptions.
